The Arturia KeyLab 88 MkII serves as a versatile MIDI controller and software suite, featuring an 88-note keyboard equipped with a high-quality Fatar hammer-action keybed, aftertouch functionality, a clickable encoder, nine additional encoders, nine sliders, sixteen RGB-backlit touch-sensitive pads, six transport control buttons, four command buttons, a modulation wheel, and a pitch bend wheel. This system is engineered to offer direct 1:1 control of the bundled Analog Lab software, Ableton Live Lite, Piano-V, Wurli-V, and Vox Continental-V virtual instruments, as well as any MIDI-compatible plug-in or digital audio workstation (DAW). Users can further tailor the controller for other software applications through the downloadable MIDI Control Center. Additionally, the KeyLab MkII facilitates seamless control that extends beyond conventional MIDI, enabling users to manage their DAW software across various platforms, and it comes with multiple overlays for quick transitions between different applications. The controller operates as a Class-Compliant USB device, ensuring immediate compatibility with both Mac and Windows systems.

The controller is equipped with three buttons designed for mode switching, enabling swift transitions between Analog Lab mode, DAW mode, and a User mode for developing custom mappings to manage MIDI hardware or software instruments and plug-ins. In Analog Lab mode, users can manipulate all features within Analog Lab without the need to use a mouse. The software boasts over 6,500 TAE-powered preset sounds derived from Arturia’s acclaimed V-Collection. With the KeyLab 88 MkII, users can easily browse through presets and also create and store their own.

The keyboard offers the capability to be split or layered, facilitating the creation of innovative sounds. All bundled software is compatible with leading DAWs, including Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, FL Studio, Bitwig, Cubase, Ableton Live, Digital Performer, Studio One, and others. The KeyLab 88 MkII is delivered with a USB cable, a laptop plate, and a music sheet holder.
