NiSi Circular Black Mist 1/8 Filter

The NiSi Black Mist Filter 1/8 is a diffusion filter for lenses with a filter thread, inspired by the “Allure Mist Black” cinema range and recreated as a circular filter. Ideal for both photography and video, it reduces contrast by diffusing highlights and lifting shadows, balancing the image’s tonal range. This filter softens wrinkles and blemishes for a flattering look, especially effective with backlit subjects, creating a soft, vintage lens effect.

This filter is constructed from optical glass and is available in diffusion grades of 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2; the diffusion effect becomes approximately twice as strong with each grade number increase.

Each optical glass surface features NiSi’s Nano coating for an improved beading effect when in contact with water, oil, or grease for greater cleaning efficiency. Constructed with a high-quality brass frame for enhanced durability and jamming prevention.
