It converts the 13 to 17 volts to regulated 12V with a 2.5-amp rated draw, providing a safety margin for the Blackmagic Mini Converter. Use this converter with a D-Tapequipped pro-style battery to obtain a longer run time than that provided by the camera’s internal battery.
