The Gary Fong Lightsphere Universal Inverted Dome Diffusion System (Half Cloud) is a flexible diffuser that slips over almost any on-camera flash to create a beautiful, soft light for your photos. Most diffusers point the light from your on-camera flash like a flashlight, but the Lightsphere diffuses the light across the entire room for a more natural looking effect. The Lightsphere Universal mounts to your flash using the patented strap and band system. It’s so strong that it can support the weight of a camera and flash securely, so you can be sure it won’t fall off during your shoot.

The inside of the Lightsphere is completely textured to make the light dispersion even more “soft” than it would be otherwise. And because of this design, the material of the Lightsphere Universal is more translucent, keeping the unit from losing a lot of light while actually increasing the diffusion and softness of light. Clear vinyl cuts down on light loss and also gives it a more sleek professional appearance while still delivering the soft diffuse light you demand.

This version is designed for fast action, tight spaces, and crowds. The new vinyl construction ensures a snug fit on a wide range of flash heads without the need for adaptors. To shoot vertical, all you need to do is flip your flash head up and you’ll have soft, smooth lighting. Typical diffusers change the shape of the lightsource when you flip vertical (to a much smaller surface).
