The EX-L Epic Ball Head from Explorer Photo & Video is a large-sized, lightweight travel ball head that’s been hollowed out to make it up to 20% lighter than similar sized heads. It has a load capacity of 66.1 pounds, but only weighs 0.9 lb. The robust 44mm ball diameter makes it capable of supporting larger lenses, while still being compact enough to use with camera bodies and lens combinations of all sizes. The large main adjustment knob has a friction control dial, and an independent pan lock knob allows the head to rotate on its base. The Arca-type quick release clamp is knob-tightened and comes with an EX-60 quick release plate.
The Explorer EX-L ball head is CNC-machined from an aircraft-grade aluminium alloy and anodized with an oxidation treatment that ensures a durable, high-quality finish.
