Hahnemhle Protective Spray protects digital Fine Art prints from external influences. The aerosol spray lays like a fine film on the paper, without changing the paper structure. It fixes colors of pigment-and dye ink and prevents an eventual color fading also the intensity and the high brilliance of the colors stay permanently.Hahnemhle Protective Spray renders an inkjet print UV and water resistant. The non-toxic coating is sprayed directly on to the image and then allowed to air dry.

The coating increases the abrasion resistance of Fine Art papers, so the risk of fingerprint marks and scratches are reduced. Protective Spray makes the sealing of the surface water repellent. The improved formulation is fast drying and virtually odorless. A yellowing of the print due to the spray is not possible.

The increase in fade resistance offered by usingHahnemhle Protective Spray varies from inktype to ink type. With dye based inks, the usefuldisplay life without noticeable fade can beincreased by as much as 100% compared toa non-coated image. Even when applied tothe latest pigment based inksets HahnemhleProtective Spray increases fade resistance bymore than double on some papers and canvases.Hahnemhle Protective Spray is suitable for most types of inkjet media.
