LaCie 16TB 1big Dock

The LaCie 16TB 1big Dock has been meticulously engineered to serve as a central hub for 4K workflows. It features a 16TB Seagate IronWolf Pro 7200 rpm SATA 3.5″ hard drive, capable of achieving data transfer rates of up to 300 MB/s. The device is equipped with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 output supporting 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz, as well as 1080p and 720p video formats, in addition to SD and CompactFlash card slots. The aluminum casing and thermoregulated fan ensure that operational temperatures remain optimal.

One of the Thunderbolt 3 ports connects the 1big Dock to a compatible system, which must run at least Windows 10 or macOS 10.12, while the second port allows for daisy-chaining of up to six additional devices or provides up to 70W of charging power. To utilize the full 70W charging capability, the laptop must be connected to its power supply; otherwise, it will receive 45W, or 30W if multiple devices are daisy-chained.

Included with the LaCie 16TB 1big Dock is a 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 cable and an external power supply. Users will benefit from access to LaCie’s Toolkit software suite and a one-month subscription to Adobe’s Creative Cloud All Apps plan. The device is backed by a limited 5-year warranty, which includes a Rescue Data Recovery Services plan. Should you need to remove the hard drive from the 1big Dock, it can be easily accessed by opening the removable drawer.
