In honor ofLeica‘s centenary, this limited edition D-Lux 8 Digital Camera pays tribute to the design and materials that define Leica’s legacy, including elements from the M11 rangefinder and the original Leica model from 1925. The streamlined redesign incorporates leather-textured armoring and a nickel-hued finish on the lens, lens cap, and controls, while forgoing the thumb grip, red logo, and camera model name. Instead, the hot shoe cover features a discreet black “100” logo that signifies the camera’s commemorative centennial.

Providing exceptional quality in a compact digital camera, the D-Lux 8 offers versatile portability, a smooth user experience, and simplified controls for enhanced comfort and usability. As the eighth generation of D-Lux cameras, it features a 17MP Four Thirds CMOS sensor and a fixed 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 lens that delivers a 24-75mm full-frame equivalency. This model is the first in the D-Lux series to support DNG file formats, and it combines a 3″ 1.84m-dot TFT LCD with a 2.36MP OLED EVF. An integrated eye sensor enables the camera to automatically transition between the LCD screen and the viewfinder. Connecting to smartphones is straightforward with the Leica FOTOS app. Additionally, a shoe-mounted flash is included, allowing you to effectively capture images in a variety of lighting situations.
