The NiSi Solid Neutral Density Long-Exposure Filter Kit includes three filters designed to fit filter holders capable of holding 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters. These filters can be utilized separately or in different combinations to achieve a darkened effect on the overall image, enabling you to capture photos with a broader aperture or longer shutter speed than usual. Adjusting your aperture or prolonging your exposure time allows for better control over depth of field and smoother depiction of motion. Neutral density filters maintain the image’s color integrity and are perfect for combining with other filters.

The NiSi 100 x 100mm Nano IRND 0.9, 1.8, and 3.0 Filters in this kit are ND filters that offer a 3-, 6-, and 10-stop exposure reduction, respectively. These filters are designed for use with digital sensors and are optimized to provide nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to the increased susceptibility of imaging sensors to infrared light compared to traditional film, color casts may occur when photographing darker subjects that require longer exposure times. To address this, each filter is coated with a layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating to ensure high neutrality across the visible and infrared spectrums, eliminating color casts and ensuring cleaner, truer blacks. Additionally, the nano coating promotes an improved beading effect when in contact with water or oil, enhancing cleaning efficiency.

The NiSi Four-Filter Soft Case for 100mm Filters is an accessory that offers a safe and practical way to carry and store up to four NiSi 100 x 100mm or 100 x 150mm filters. Each filter is securely held in a nonabrasive slot within the pouch, and can be easily retrieved by opening the touch-tab fastened front flap.

When photographing with a tripod, a loop along the rear of the filter case allows it to be secured to one of the tripod’s legs, putting your filters in more immediate reach. This pouch’s exterior is woven from canvas for durability.

Also provided is a microfiber cloth for cleaning and maintenance of the filters, as well as three light-blocking gaskets. Each of these gaskets can be used to form a seal that is intended to prevent stray light, which could have unwanted effects on exposure, from coming in between a filter and the lens behind it.
